Instagram x We Made This, 2026

On May 4, Instagram debuted "We Made This" a new effort to actively hero creativity within the surfaces of our app at the Met Gala. For the first time ever, we unlocked collab posts with up to 25 collaborators (vs. the usual 5), giving talent a way to spotlight the full creative team behind their Met moment. Four Instagram table talent — @alysaxliu (8.3M), @maluma (64.4M), @naomiosaka (2.9M), and @chaseinfiniti (661K) — posted We Made This carousels featuring their creative directors, designers, makeup artists, stylists, and more. The initiative generated press coverage on social and on HYPEBEAST, shifting the Met Gala narrative from the red carpet to the creatives who made it.
